Short
Course for Finding a Solar Career
1)
Good sources for CA solar jobs include greenjobs.com
and renewableenergyaccess.com
2)
See Ongrid.net's
career resources page for a bunch of other resources and a couple
articles by Andy Black, who authored the original Dream Job
workshops
3) Network like crazy, including the ASES conference
in July (in Cleveland), the SEPA conference in Long Beach in Sept.,
and SDREO's Solar Week in Sept.
4) Begin attending the San
Diego ASES chapter meetings. I've cc'd Richard Caputo who can let you
know when and where.
5) Take a solar installation class at SEI
(solarenergy.org)
and then volunteer as much as you can - through public speaking and
in hands-on installations.
6) Research and stay informed -
renewableenergyaccess.com
and
solarbuzz.com
are good starts. I have a few good lists for other resources in our
various Enews newsletters, which you can download directly from our
main webpage at norcalsolar.org.
That's
the 'short course' for finding your solar career.
