Diego Renewable Energy Society Seeks Executive Director
Overview
The San Diego Renewable Energy Society (SDRES), a nonprofit membership
organization, is a chapter of the American Solar Energy Society.
SDRES is dedicated to increasing the use of renewable and sustainable
energy technologies in San Diego County and its mission is to:
Position Responsibilities
The Executive Director(ED) is responsible for all aspects of managing
and directing the functions of the SDRES including its office operations,
public and private fundraising, grant writing, board and volunteer development,
networking with private and public agencies, and creatively advancing
the vision of the board (see www.sdres.org).
Education, Skills and Experience
We are seeking a person who is positive, energetic, and intelligent,
committed to moving San Diego toward sustainability through renewable
energy and energy efficiency, and has demonstrated success and experience
in most of the ED responsibilities listed above.
The applicant must be:
Compensation
Because we are a nascent organization, this position would start with
no or minimal compensation, but is expected to transition to up to full-time
paid employment within 4-6 months, mostly as a result of the fundraising
activities of the Executive Director. Expected annual salary range:
$50,000 - $60,000. Beginning salary commensurate with qualifications.
Periodic salary increases dependent on performance. Benefits include
medical insurance, paid vacations and holidays, and sick leave.
