SDRES is happy to announce that Dr. Jeffrey Severinghaus will speak about Global Warming at the June 11 program meeting, 7-9 pm, at the California Center for Sustainable Energy, 8690 Balboa Avenue, #100. Dr. Severinghaus is a scientist and professor at UCSD's Scripps Institute of Oceanography who specializes in carbon dioxide bubbles in ice cores. The nature of the carbon dioxide provides a "smoking gun" that proves humans are warming the planet by our use of fossil fuels. At the current rate, greenhouse gases could double or triple in the next 90 years. Dr. Severinghaus' message is not all doom and gloom, however, as he has great hope for human ingenuity to develop solutions. Maybe you have one of those solutions! Please come and settle the debate about human-caused global warming once and for all!
