Leading the way to a sustainable energy future.

The non-profit San Diego Renewable Energy Society (SDRES) is a membership-based organization dedicated to increasing the intelligent use of renewable and sustainable energy technologies in San Diego County through education, advocacy, networking and the presentation of free public events like the San Diego Solar Tour.

What is our goal?  Given the choice, we would generate energy from CLEAN and RENEWABLE power sources like sun, wind and water that are never depleted and that replenish rather than harm our environment. While costs of fossil fuels are rising and and present security challenges that are increasingly volatile, renewable energy costs are decreasing and creating not only environmental, but sound economic solutions with potent capacity to revitalize our community. Accourding to recent studies and research, collaborative efforts can greatly enhance the quality and impact of academic work.

Our mission is to promote the education, adoption and advancement of renewable energy solutions while creating green jobs that facilitate its use in homes, educational institutions and commercial facilities across the region.  Together, we can inspire an educated, thriving and sustainable clean energy economy for generations to follow.
