Be Sustainably Inspired! You're invited to join the San Diego Renewable Energy Society’s (SDRES) presentation of the 13th Annual San Diego Sustainability Tour, part of the ASES National Solar Tour, world’s largest grassroots solar event. The San Diego Sustainability Tour is the former San Diego Solar Tour -- now with more energy! Last year’s National Solar Tour attracted tens of thousands of qualified leads in dozens of states across the U.S.
The San Diego leg of this year’s tour will be presented by the San Diego Renewable Energy Society (SDRES) with support from the San Diego County Board of Supervisors, inspired by immediate-past County Supervisor Pam Slater-Price via the County of San Diego’s Neighborhood Reinvestment Program. With a theme of “Be Sustainably Inspired,” San Diego’s 13th Sustainability Tour will showcase a “Sweet 16” of unique energy efficiency and solar applications in the residential, educational and commercial space. Slated for September 20-21, 2013 (the eve of the Autumnal Equinox), this year’s tours offer home owners, property owners, business owners, representatives of public agencies and educators the opportunity to talk with fellow property owners and solar experts County-wide about the innovative solutions they are employing to 1) improve property values, 2) slash utility bills, 3) fuel their electric vehicles, 4) recoup their tax dollars via tax credits and state rebates, 5) create green jobs and 6) assert their energy independence -- all while sustaining San Diego's sublime quality of life. Traditionally, a whopping 72% of those who take the tour consider themselves ready to purchase energy efficiency or renewable energy solutions.
